How to host

Every game shows its own four letters and a QR code, like these.Players go to aheadso.com, tap Play and type the letters, or point their camera at the code.

The Board

For a study group.Pick a topic and points, and the first phone to buzz answers.

  1. Open a set and tap Play on the Board.
  2. Wait until everyone's name shows, then tap Start the game.
  3. The screen says who picks next.They tell you the card, and you tap it.
  4. Read the card out loud.Buzzers open a moment later.
  5. The first to buzz says the answer out loud.Tap Right or Wrong.
  6. Tap Back to the board and keep going.

The answer stays hidden until you mark it, so the host should know the cards.End game asks first, then ends the game for everyone.

Trivia Night

For teams at a bar or a party.You run it from your phone, and a TV is optional.One phone answers for each team.

  1. Tap New set, pick Trivia Night, and write your rounds and a Final.
  2. Tap Run the night.If nobody is reading aloud, set Questions on phones to Show them.
  3. Teams type a name, then a team name.Teammates join with the team's PIN.
  4. For each question, tap Ask, let teams type, then tap Close answers.
  5. Answers that match the card are marked right already.Answers marked “Close to the answer” are yours to call: Right, Half or Wrong.
  6. After each round you see the standings.Tick the box to show them on the phones too.
  7. For the Final, take the bets first, then ask the question.

Wi-Fi at bars can drop.Before the night, tap Print the host sheet and Print answer sheets, on the set's Play tab or in the lobby.

If something goes wrong

A phone is stuck or blank
Reload the page.It rejoins the same game.
Someone joined late
They can join any time with the four letters at the top of the big screen.
You marked something wrong
In Trivia Night, tap Fix an earlier mark.Every score follows.
A team's phone died
A teammate joins with the team name and its PIN.

After the night

At the end of every game, tap Great, OK or Confusing, and add a note if you like.Tell us what was confusing, even small things, with Send us a note at the foot of any page.
